Kolanda Scott is currently holds a position as Development and Activities Coordinator at U.S.VETS – Las Vegas, She’s committed to finding innovative solutions for homeless veterans within the Las Vegas community. She facilitate and inspire the community to become involved in ending homelessness among veterans, by facilitating connections and relationships with donors, volunteers and other stakeholders. She believe that in creating these connections, it must be done with integrity and innovation. Passion and creativity are her core driving forces to address community problems. She is a life-long learner. Her mindset as an effective leader as that She MUST lead with, and not “for” or “over.” Kolanda challenge herself daily to pursue excellence in the areas of serving, change, and creativity. She believe in the power of interconnectedness- making connections among people, theories, teams and ideas are key aspect of an effective leader. Kolanda stays active in her community by using her voice as a catalyst for change toward ending homelessness among veterans and uplifting young girls which is her core passion. Her previous experience includes marketing and promotions at iHeart Media, operating a boutique Public Relations company, CharmKommunications. Kolanda holds a Master’s degree in Marketing Management, and Bachelors in Communications. She has one daughter, Kiyana Scott.
